Q.
What made you realise that you needed to start working with a Coach and what made you choose Rob?
A. Actually, it came about slightly by chance. I’d been thinking about coaching for a while, then won a competition for some free coaching with Rob. We got on really well, and it was so useful that I’ve stuck with him ever since!

Q. How has working with a Coach helped you to improve your own client offering?
A. We’ve improved our website, produced more packaged offerings, increased our retainer income and generally improved our business processes.

Q. What benefits has your business seen since working with Rob?
A. We’re seeing a steady increase in revenue, from the seeds we’ve sown regarding monthly income streams – but we’ve also seen a big increase in efficiency, staff wellbeing and motivation.

Q. What has been the biggest impact from a personal perspective?
A. Setting some tough personal goals, and working towards them – and seeing them getting nearer.

Q. What has working with Rob enabled you to change in your business/personal life?
A. I don’t work late now unless I want to, whereas before I was doing a lot of catching up on evenings and weekends.

Q. What kind of results were you expecting versus what you achieved?
A. To be honest I was expecting a magic bullet that would give a huge profit boost, but have realised it’s a much slower burn for our particular business. However, we’re now seeing the benefits of things we implemented 6 months ago and it’s very empowering!

Q. What would you say to another business owner considering whether working with a Coach would help them?
A. Try it – you don’t know how well it will work for you until you give it a go, but I would give it at least 3/6 months to be sure.

Q. What made you realise that you needed to start working with a Coach and what made you choose Rob?
A. We had already seen the benefits of coaching in a group environment in helping improve our sales, systems and profitability. We wanted to take our business to a further level and realised we would need support along that journey. We chose Rob as he had skills in areas we were lacking, the credibility of a major global organisation behind him and we liked him as a person.

Q. How has working with a Coach helped you to improve your own client offering?
A. We have initiated numerous client events which have improved further the relationships with our clients and their profits. We are offering new services to help our clients. We have also introduced new payment plans to help clients spread the fees on a monthly basis.

Q. What benefits has your business seen since working with Rob?
A. We commenced working with Rob around Sept 2011. In the subsequent 12 months we won more new clients than in any 12 month period ever, in fact we generated more new clients in the first 9 months of 2012 than in any calendar year since the business formed. We have identified and documented a clear set of values for the business as well as strategic business partnerships which have produced several new clients to help.

Q. What has been the biggest impact from a personal perspective?
A. Lesley and I have someone to share the experiences (good and bad) of running a business, to gain advice and support and keep us focussed on making positive steps with the business to help our clients.

Q. What has working with Rob enabled you to change in your business/personal life?
A. Lesley and I are more focussed on ensuring the business delivers us the time and revenues to pursue our personal goals.

Q. What kind of results were you expecting versus what you achieved?
A. The main result we sought was an increase to an ambitious and specific profit target (after Rob’s fees) and we are on track to meet that goal. In addition, we have achieved other goals not sought, such as the joint workshops, new clients from Rob, friendship and a business partner we are confident referring to Inca clients.

Q. What would you say to another business owner considering whether working with a Coach would help them?
A. I’d ask them if their business was delivering them everything they want in terms of revenues, time and fun. If they answered “No”, to any of them, I’d suggest an introduction to Rob.
